Professor Ming Ronnier Luo
Ming Ronnier Luo is the Professor of Colour and Imaging Science and leads the Colour & Imaging Science Group at the Department of Colour Science, the University of Leeds, UK. He is also the Head of Colour, Imaging and Illumination Centre at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST). He is also the Director of the Division 1 (Colour and Vision) of the International Commission on Illumination (CIE). He received his PhD in 1986 at the University of Bradford in the field of colour difference evaluation. He has over 300 publications in the field of colour appearance modelling, colour difference evaluation and colour management of digital imaging products. He is a Fellow of the Society of Dyers and Colourists (SDC)and the Society for Imaging Science and Technology. He chairs two CIE Technical Committees. He has received various research medals from different learn societies including 2009 Gold Medal of SDC, 2006 Research Medal of Dyers' Company, 2004 Centenary Medal of SDC, 2003 Davis Medal by the Royal Photographic Society,
